As you can see, it's also in pretty nice shape. I believe it's 7th from the left in front. This is the only picture I could dig up of it. And it's the ONLY unmolested 99 there and it STILL doesn't sell. Every time Loggah goes into the shop he remarks to me that's it is still there. I still have the 11-87 and well, the DL STILL sits in the rack in the shop. I traded THAT for a model 11-87 Remington in mint condition in 28 ga. Well sir I missed a couple deer with it because it wouldn't shoot worth a damn. Actually, I traded a pre-64 model 94 for it + a hundred or so dollars. Oh dangit, I forgot, you DON'T WANT ONE!!!! I've got extra DL'S, give me your address and I'll GIVE YOU ONE. You know, if you shot one you might change your mind. You may need a magnifying glass to read the LBC since many of the LBCs and ovals were very lightly struck and some only partially show distinctly.Īnd there are those of us you couldn't GIVE one to.

Note: My records show the year of manufacture (1962) first, then the rifle's serial number, then the Inspector's number (#10 and #12 Inspectors) plus the letter "N" which was used in the LBC to designate all Model 99s made in 1962. Without knowing your Lever Boss Code ("LBC") located in an OVAL (not a circle) on the front of your rifle's lever boss just above where the lever rotates, my records indicate that your rifle was manufactured in 1962. Here's an excerpt from my records to help you determine the date of manufacture of your Model 99.
